As part of the new generation of contemporary Brazilian artists Andre Luz has crafted a unique and contagious sound that blends an addictive concoction

of Samba rock/ MPB (Musica Popular Brasileira), Tropicalia, and revolutionary Samba Soul flavours.

Performing an upbeat mix of originals and Brazilian classics from the vaults, Andre Luz and his band showcase an addictive style of late 60’s soulful samba mixed with traditional baião, xote, maracatu, frevo and contemporary London ingredients, to create an exciting and original live flavour.

After settling in London, Andre Luz

has built up a rapidly expanding local fanbase from energetic and contagious performances at Brixton Academy, Ronnie Scott’s and a residency at Floripa (formerly Favela Chic). He also won an award for best Brazilian male singer at a recent Brazilian awards.

 

Focusing on the best of popular Brazilian music, Andre has made it his mission to share Brazilian culture, sing and enchant the world with his amazing voice and unique charisma.
